CONTEXT

Since April 2020, we have been leveraging social media data around COVID-19 to help Institut National de Santé Publique du Québec (INSPQ) fight misinformation and find ways to maintain public trust and adherence to recommended health measures throughout Québec.

This work is enabling INSPQ to make public health decisions based on a broader dataset and even got shortlisted for this year’s AMEC awards in the ‘Innovation award for new measurement methodologies’ category for ‘Infodemic Signals Detection in the COVID-19: Localisation of a Global Research Programme’.

Most recently, they have published two reports in French featuring our data, which are accessible here.
